In a statement to Ars Technica, Billy Mitchell is taking his case regarding his high-score cheating in the original Donkey Kong arcade game to court.
The news outlet were able to find the court filings after discovering that the case file was misfiled under “William James Mitchell vs. Twin Galexies, LLC [sic]” which is strongly believed the reason has not been picked up by other outlets. The suit was filed in Los Angeles County court in April 19 and is planned to have an anti-SLAPP hearing in July.
Mitchell said in a direct message to Ars Technica:
“My law firm and I are fully confident that we will establish a prima face [sic] case for all parts of the lawsuit.”
