Habbo Hotel, the game that most people remember for either for the virtual partying in the pool or 4chan, will be celebrating 15 years of continuous service next month. To celebrate this humongous occasion, Habbo Hotel will be featuring many prizes and contests throughout the month of August. Also being added will be a Hall of Fame that will feature players who have been playing it since the beginning.

The long-running social hang-out and community platform reaches 15 years of active service on August 15th, with celebrations planned in the months leading up to the event.
Helsinki, July 6th 2015 – Habbo – the longest running teen virtual world – is celebrating its 15th Birthday this August. Originally created in 2000 as a digital chat room for a Finnish Music Band, ‘Habbo Hotel’ has enjoyed fifteen years of growth, evolution and community as one of the most iconic social experiences of our time.
Habbo creators Sulake are marking the occasion with a series of contests & prizes, the goal of which is to honour the players that have helped the service to thrive for so long. Players who excel in showing off their skill, imagination and passion inside Habbo will be immortalized in the brand new ‘Hall of Fame’ that will be released later today.
A series of five weekly contests will be held, and the winners will be commemorated and celebrated in a way that will endure for as long as Habbo remains alive, with a statue of their in-game avatar and the winning content being put on display for all to see.
Users will also receive a free gift for every day they log in between now and August 30th, as a “Thank You” for their continued support. A total pool of over 15 million in-game and physical prizes has been set aside for this celebration, and there is a grand prize competition that players can enter as well – more details on that soon.
