Once in a while a video game prototype pops up that is just fascinating due to the origin story and this one is no exception. A Wide-Boy 64 Gameboy Color prototype has surfaced on eBay. The Wide-Boy 64 is similar to the Super Game Boy and that it allows you to play Game Boy games on your TV through the console. In this case, the Wide-Boy 64 would allow you to play Game Boy Color games on your Nintendo 64. It’s much like the Transfer Pack, only it will work with any license Game Boy Color game. Sadly, the Wide-Boy 64 was never released to the public and was only sold to developers and magazines for the hefty price of $1,400.
The current asking price for the prototype is $495
