According to a new report by Miles Yim of ESPN, Comcast Spectacor and SK Telecom are set to announce a joint esports venture at the Mobile World Congress some time tomorrow.
This venture will reportedly see the formation of T1 Entertainment & Sports and will center out of Seoul, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. This is said to be because Comcast want to create an international esports brand and SK Telecom own the world-renowned League of Legends team SK Telecom T1. Comcast Spectacor currently own the Philadelphia Fusion.
SK Telecom also intend on expanding into other popular games including Super Smash Bros., Fortnite, and Apex Legends. This venture would allow them to do so with a credible company based out of the United States.
