While it may seem that games like Fortnite and Apex Legends are taking over the world, Minecraft is still going strong. According to new details from Microsoft, Minecraft has now sold over 176 million copies worldwide. This makes it the best selling video game of all-time, passing 170 million copies that the original Tetris sold.
Microsoft also revealed that Microsoft China Edition has passed 200 million registered users and completed 130 million Minecraft “Hour of Code” sessions. It’s also worth noting that the 176 million copies number is just copies and not based on profit or revenue.
