According to six sources for Camelot331, GameStop will be closing at least half of their 4,400 stores within the United States at the end of Q4 2019. The person who originally revealed the information was the same person who has previously correctly revealed ahead of time that managers would be laid off and over 100 employees at their corporate offices and within Game Informer would receive the same fate. Camelot did note that he was still very skeptical about this until 5 other people who all wished to remain anonymous confirmed this story.
It’s being said that district managers are having to come up with an action plan and a list of names for associates and managers “who are talented enough” to get past phase three. It’s also said that the company have purchased new terminals for their stores, but only purchased 2,000 of them.
Please keep in mind that GameStop have not commented on the matter.
