In a recent interview with MobileSyrup, Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi revealed that legendary video game composer Nobuo Uematsu has been experience some health problems and could either stop producing full scores, or retire outright.
Sakaguchi said:
“Before we approached him to work on Fantasian, he was going through some health issues, and there were concerns if he was going to be able to compose everything or if was it even possible for him to work on this,”
Aprroaching 62 years of age, Uemetaus has been composing music for video games since 1986 for what was then known as Square. Some of the titles he has composed work for include Blue Dragon, Rad Racer, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Chrono Trigger, Terra Battle, and the final Fantasy franchise.
