Scott Cawthon Trends On Twitter After Allegations Of Political Contributions

Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon started trending on Twitter after fans alleged that he made several financial contributions to members of the Republican Party.

While most fans just seem to be mentioning being conservative, anti-gay, or his unplanned contributions to the Furry community, we decided to look into it.

Thanks to the non-profit organization Open Secrets, we found that Cawthon has made 18 contributions to politicians, parties, and PACS since 2015. 17 of these were to the Republican Party and their members with the notable exception being to former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard in October 2019

Other politicians who have received contributions from Cawthon include Mitch McConnell, Ben Carson, John Cornyn, Devin Nunes, and Donald J. Trump.
