Thanks to a new report by Axios we have learned that the state of California have expanded their lawsuit against Activision Blizzard. The Department of Fair Employment & Housing (DFEH) have even gone as far as to allege that the company are interfering with their ongoing investigation.
A copy of the complain obtained by Axios reveals that some words have been changed by Activision Blizzard. For example, the word “employees” has been changed to “workers” when referencing things such as sexual harassment, and sexual discrimination.
DFEH also accuses the company of interfering with their ability to “investigate, prosecute, and remedy workplace discrimination and harassment violations on behalf of employees and contingent or temporary workers.” This is due to Activision Blizzard allegedly using NDAs with employees to speak with the company directly or with WilmerHale before talking to DFEH.
The most damming evidence to come out is “documents related to investigations and complaints were shredded by human resource personnel” within Activision Blizzard. This would be a giant red flag as this could be considered evident tampering if found to be true.
