In a new article by Bloomberg, sources within Sony Group revealed they are lowering their production outlook for the Playstation 5. The company expected to build 16 million units by the end of March 2022, but has now lowered that forecast to 14.8 million.
This ties in to an investor conference call last month where Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki revealed the company were having issues due to both logistical problems and a parts shortage.
Despite this, manufacturing partners said they still expect to reach their current goal of 22.6 million total units created by end of the 2022 fiscal year.
