Independent game studio Nerd Monkeys have announced they have decided to close their headquarters in Lisbon Portugal and will be implementing a full remote work policy.
The belief is that this decision will allow more flexibility for their employees while also creating a more creative, open, and free workplace.
Diogo Vasconcelos, Publishing Director at Nerd Monkeys, said in a press release:
Being able to travel more freely and without being constrained to always coming back to our headquarters is also part of the strategy for our new indie publishing branch. Visiting and meeting talented indie developers while touristing across the world is a strategy that both brings quality and diversity of games into our portfolio and quality of life.
Nerd Monkeys are best known for Out of Line and the Detective Case and Clown Bot series.
