In shades of Mosaic Esports, DPS player Elliot “TR33“ Chu revealed that him and everyone associated with the Overwatch Contenders team Solaris has left the organization. This became public after Michael “Rydarus” Zhang revealed that the organization owes players and staff a minimum of $33,000.
Staff of Solaris have also come forward to note their frustrations regarding pay. Their social media manager revealed they have also not been paid and showed a Discord claiming the owner of Solaris has money to purchase $70 dinners, but not pay staff. Another woman named Jaida said she was slated to do some merchandising for Solaris only to get ignored.
At the time of publishing, the owner of Solaris has not made any kind of public statement.
