GameStop have been summoned to court as a lawsuit was filed by a former employee named Trevon Mack for violating a New York Labor Law.
According to the lawsuit, GameStop employees qualify as “manual laborers” which would make the company required to pay their employees on a weekly basis within the state of New York instead of bi-weekly like they currently do. This law also states that manual labourers are defined as workers who spend at least 25% of their time doing physical labour.
Both Mack and his lawyer are hoping to have more current and former employees join them in this class action lawsuit.
