Bayonetta 3 has quickly become one of the most talked about games this weekend and it’s for all the wrong reasons. This comes after Hellena Taylor, the voice actress for Bayonetta, revealed that Platinum Games only offered her $4,000 to reprise her role for the third installment, but declined the offer due to the insultingly low offer and has asked fans of the franchise to boycot the game.
Many fans have voice their support for the voice actress and have agreed that the company’s “best offer” was insulting considering the role and the amount of hours of dialogue would have to be spent in the studio. It also didn’t help that Hideki Kamiya, the Director of Bayonetta, took to Twitter to bash her which has seemingly resulted in him shutting down his Twitter due to the backlash. Kamiya had said of the situation:
Sad and deplorable about the attitude of untruth. That’s what all I can tell now.
By the way, BEWARE OF MY RULES.
Jennifer Hale, who voiced the female Commander Shepard in the Mass Effect franchise, will be voicing Bayonneta in the upcoming installment.
