Microsoft had started experimenting removing Snap Mode on Xbox One and now Xbox Platform Head Mike Ybarra confirmed via Twitter they were removing Snap Mode in order to reduce memory use, improve overall speed, improve multitasking, and free up resources.
We replaced Snap to improve multitasking, reduce memory use, improve overall speed, and free up resources going forward for bigger things.
