Rumor: GameStop and Target Cancelling Switch Pre-Orders

There are numerous reports circulating the internet that both GameStop and Target are cancelling some gamers Switch pre-orders.

Just last month GameStop shut down pre-orders due to running out of Switch systems allocated to them, but a week later they opened the pre-orders back up. Now reports from other outlets are saying that Target also have more pre-orders than allocated to them.

Nintendo have a set number of units to each outlet, but have had to make adjustments due to a shortage in production and not enough to meet demand. It’s reported that in Japan alone 80% of Switch launch units are already sold out.
