Sega has announced that the beta for Phantasy Star Online 2 for Playstation 4 will take place at the end of February in Japan. This is in order to make sure they know what needs to be worked on when the game is released this Spring.
Sega also confirmed that Phantasy Star Online 2 will not require you to have a Playstation Plus subscription in order to play the game.
Sega has not announced about the game being released outside of Japan, nor have they given exact dates for the beta at this time.
