Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 Stage Schedule

Square Enix have announced the stage schedule for Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017. This Dragon Quest-themed event takes place on August 5 and 6 from the Tokyo Big Sight West Hall 4.

The event will be streamed on both Niconico and YouTube

August 5

  • 10:00 – Event Opening
  • 11:00 to 11:15 – Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 Opening – Featuring appearances by Ayana Tsubaki, Yosuke Saito, and Yuji Horii.
  • 11:30 to 12:30 – Official Live Broadcast “Rainama” at Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 – The Dragon Quest Summer Festival edition of the monthly program “Dragon Quest Monsters Super Light Live Broadcast,” or “Rainama” for short, which is broadcast live on Niconico. It will include discussion by those appearing, as well as the latest information. Featuring appearances by Takamasa Shiba (producer), Naoto Chiba (administrative producer), Ryou Hirohashi (voice actor), Aru (live streamer), and Saito-V (V-Jump editorial department).
  • 13:00 to 14:30 – Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 Professional Official Tournament “Great Masters’ GP” Finals – The Joker series’ final battle between the eight players who won through the East Japan and Westn Japan regional preliminaries that took place starting in May, and the Square Enix Members preliminaries that were held online. Who will be the strongest monster master!? Featuring appearances by Taichi Inuzuka (producer), Reiko Mihashi (MC), Saki Suzuki (MC), and guests Yuji Horii (game designer) Hiroki Yasumoto (voice actor).
  • 16:00 to 19:30 – Dragon Quest X Five Year Celebration Stage
    • Part 1: Theater Company Inuccoro Produce’s “The Adventurers’ Hotel” – A group performance set in a certain hotel lounge. A live performance themed after those who participated in a Dragon Quest X offline meeting. Written and directed by Syu Hani. Featuring appearances by Ryutaro Ishikawa, Keiko Isobe, Inko-san, Takesho Ooyama, Ibuki Kaneda, Noboru Koizuka, Masahiko Saito, Tetsuro Adachi, Sanae Fuku, Leena, and Miyu Watanabe.
    • Part 2: Dragon Quest X TV Summer Festival 2017 Special – In addition to the latest information on Dragon Quest X, we’re preparing a number of projects only available at the Summer Festival, with different content on both days. Let’s celebrate five years of Dragon Quest X together! Featuring appearances by Ayana Tsubaki (MC), Yuji Horii (game designer), Yosuke Saito (producer), Chikara Saito (director), Takashi Anzai (chief planner), Saito-V (V-Jump editorial department), Dragon Quest X Novice Ambassador, and guests Satoru Akahori (author) and Natsuki Kato (actress).
  • 19:30 – Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 Grand Finale – Featuring Ayana Tsubaki, Yosuke Saito, Yuji Horii, etc.
  • 20:00 – Event Closing

August 6

  • 10:00 – Event Opening

  • 11:00 to 11:15 – Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 Opening – Featuring appearances by Ayana Tsubaki, Yosuke Saito, and Yuji Horii.

  • 11:30 to 13:45

    • Dragon Quest Series Special Stage – Featuring Ranze Fukishima.
    • Dragon Quest Builders Builders School Summer Course – The long-awaited revival of the regular Dragon Quest Builders program, “Builder’s School.” This will focus mainly on the announcement of the best works in a free build contest held for the Summer Festival. The title of the free build contest is “Your Memory of Dragon Quest.” Submit your creations to Twitter with the hashtag “#DQBコンテスト” with a word that describes your Dragon Quest memory. Submissions will be accepted until July 18. Featuring Ranze Fukishima (MC), Noriyoshi Fujimoto (producer), Takuma Shiraishi (assistant producer), Yohei Murakami (PR), and Saito-V (V-Jump editorial department).
    • Itadaki Street Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Dice On! Stage – To all the Itadaki Street fans, thank you for waiting so long! This stage event will finally divulge details on Itadaki Street Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary. Featuring Ranze Fukishima (MC) and Takuma Shiraishi (producer).
    • Dragon Quest Rivals Stage – A special stage focused on the smartphone-due competitive digital card game Dragon Quest Rivals! Learn the appeal of the newly announced game, including how to play, and the Dragon Quest characters and monsters that will appear. Featuring Ranze Fukishima (MC), Tatsuhiro Futagi (producer), and Yuusuke Tomita (administrative producer).
  • 14:30 to 15:15 – Dragon Quest XI Special Talk Stage – A special round-table discussion where the creator of Dragon Quest, as well as each producer and the director gather for the Summer Festival. Featuring Yosuke Saito (producer), Yuji Horii (game designer and scenario), Takeshi Uchikawa (director), Hokuto Okamoto (PlayStation 4 version producer), and Kento Yokota (3DS version producer).

  • 16:00 to 19:30 – Dragon Quest X Five Year Celebration Stage
