In a recent interview with Gamesreactor, Xbox Marketing Head Aaron Greenberg revealed that the company will be making more announcements Gamescom 2017 in Cologne. While it won’t be “not E3 level”, it will contain reveals on new games. Greenberg stated..
“We have more announcements. Not E3 level. […] But we’re not just going to go to Gamescom and show what we showed at E3. There will be some other news as well. I’d rather not spoil it, and let it be a delight for our fans and for the media that are there in Cologne. But yeah, we’ve got a lot going on right now and it’s exciting.
“And the same thing is like, a lot of great partners in Europe as well, a lot of folks that don’t make it out to E3 that want to be able to show that, and at the same time the balance of like what a big PC market that is – you know Germany being the largest PC market in Europe – so we always take that into consideration as well, as we think about what type of things we show.
“And you know we did, for example, unveil the new Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, so we’re going back to the original Age, remastering that. We’re bringing that to the PC with all the new updates, and we’re even going to have like a celebration for 25 years of the Age franchise at Gamescom. So we’ve got some more stuff planned, and I’m excited. As soon as we’ve finished E3 we’ll start working on finishing up all those plans too.”
