According to former tech journalist Peter Rojas, Google will be announcing a standalone Android VR headset next week during the company’s I/O event.
According to his multiple sources, the headset will be “less powerful than the Vive or Rift.” Below are some of his tweets…

Google has already received successful results in the VR world with the release of Cardboard which has already been shipped over 5 million units around the world.
