Despite so many complaining about loot boxes and microtransactions, many are still purchasing them. In their latest financial results, total net revenues reached $7.02 billion. Of this $7.02 billion, $4 billion came from microtransactions.
The company said during their financial results…
“Activision Blizzard delivered a fourth-quarter record of over $1 billion of in-game net bookings, and an annual record of over $4 billion of in-game net bookings.”
It’s worth noting that $2 billion of the microtransactions revenue came from King. King are the developers of both Shuffle Cats and Candy Crush Saga.
