Nintendo announced today that fans of Animal Crossing will get their very own special edition 3DS to celebrate the release of the newest game in the franchise Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. This Special Edition 3DS will be available exclusively in Japan on July 30 and will cost 22,000 Yen ($177). This will also include a digital copy of the game. For those who don’t want to buy the 3DS, but want to customize their existing one, will also be able to purchase faceplates for 2,200 Yen ($17.72).
As for the game itself, it will actually be a spinoff will focus more on building homes for the villagers rather than making the village itself. Players will be able to use Amiibo Cards to help design and furnish the homes as well.
