In-game advertising company Anzu have announced they have closed a $20 million funding round and have received investments from some of the most recognized brands across the globe. Some of these investors include HTC, NBCUniversal, Sony Innovation Fund, and the Chicago Cubs.
Itamar Benedy, Co-Founder and CEO of Anzu, said in a press release:
“Everyone is talking about the impending metaverse, and we are starting to see it emerge from several different angles. However, if you want to see it in action right now, you just need to look to today’s most popular gaming platforms, which are hosting virtual concerts and film screenings. This funding will further expand our in-game advertising solution, helping even more advertisers understand where their brand fits in, and how they navigate these immersive, digitally-connected spaces.”
Anzu have been busy so far this year as they extended their partnership with Ubisoft back in January and just this month partnered with Unity becoming the first advertising platform to be verified by the company as part of their Verified Solutions Partner Program.
