Apex Legends Caught Violating GDPR

It seems that EA’s recently released free-to-play battle royale game Apex Legends may be violating some international laws.

A user on Reddit noticed that the Usage Sharing feature comes automatically enabled which violates the General Data Protection Regulation within many parts of the European Union. This makes it where companies are now allowed to collect and share information about private persons.

This could technically allow the European Union to collect 4% of annual revenue per incident until the issue is resolved. However, you can enable and disable the Usage Sharing feature in the settings.
