Bandai Namco are now suing game console manufacturer AtGames for alleged copyright infringement over their use of Ms. Pac-Man.
According to a lawsuit filed at the US District Court for the Northern District of California, Bandai Namco claims AtGames created a version of Ms. Pac-Man it never had permission to make. They claim that AtGames released a version of Ms. Pac-Man that “materially differed” from a version of Bandai Namco themselves approved of.
The company are also saying that AtGames released a “Ms. Pac-Man” arcade machine despite not having a license to use the Ms. Pac-Man IP.
This complaint was filed at the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
