Blizzard Bans 18,000 Overwatch Accounts For Cheating

In a message on the Blizzard Forums, the company announced they have rolled out another ban wave with the latest one banning 18,000 accounts due to cheating. This now makes 24,000 accounts banned since May 2021.

Hi folks,

We’re following up on our thread from earlier this year where we discussed our long-term mentality 25 towards cheating. Since we shared our last message in May, our ongoing efforts have identified and taken action against 24,003 accounts. During this time, our team has made progress against multiple pieces of software used to hack in Overwatch.

Today, we’re rolling out a new ban wave, targeting an additional 18,003 accounts.
