Blizzard Eyeing Asia and Europe For Overwatch League Expansion

During their latest financial results, Overwatch League Commissioner Nate Nanzer announced plans for the organization. Nanzer noted plans for more teams next season with the main targets being Europe and Asia. ESPN esports reporter and respected journalist Jacob Wolf confirmed this report.

Only three teams currently exist in these regions in the current season of the Overwatch League. These are the Seoul Dynasty, London Spitfire, and Shanghai Dragons. Of these teams, the Dragons are the only ones who are locally-run as they are owned by NetEase. The other two teams are operated out of North America.
