Class-Action Lawsuit Filed Over Xbox Controllers

According to court documents viewed by Videogame Chronicles, Xbox are now facing a class-action lawsuit over “drifting” Xbox controllers.

In the document filed by plaintiff Donald McFadden, customers have complained about many of these issues are taking place right after the 90-day warranty has expired.

McFadden himself claimed to have purchased an Xbox Elite controller and experienced “drifting” issues after purchasing it. He later decided to purchase a second controller and after “three or four months” experienced the same issue.

The suit claims that this is an ongoing issue with Xbox One controllers since 2014. Part of the document reads as follows:

“A simple Google search on this issue reveals multiple forum and message board dedicated to stick drift; YouTube instructional videos of users attempting to fix the issue on their own; and even replacement joystick components from Amazon and other sellers.”
