Colopl Reaches $30 Million Settlement With Nintendo Regarding Lawsuit

In a mutual agreement with Nintendo, Colopl will be withdrawing from a three-year lawsuit both parties have been involved with. This is related to a patent rights infringement regarding “White Cat Project” or “Shironeko Project”.

The lawsuit started back in 2018 when Nintendo filed a lawsuit against Colopl. This is due to Colopl implementing a virtual pad called a “Punicon” in their White Cat Project game. The technology for this virtual pad was patented by Nintendo.

Colopl will now pay Nintendo $30 million.
