Dark Chronicles, better known as Dark Cloud 2 outside of Japan, was a very highly praised game when it was released back in 2002. The studio Level-5 received huge recognition and went on to develop Dragon Quest VIII and Rogue Galaxy shortly after. While the speedrunning community isn’t that big, it still has one.
Earlier today a player by the name qazplm set the record for Dark Cloud 2 under the Any% category. The new record time is 7 hours 32 minutes 19 seconds. This beats the previous record held by AlbinoAlbatross and his time of 7 hours 34 minutes 23 seconds.
