Toei Animation, Bandai, and Bandai Namco have officially announced Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters. This will be a cross-media project with a TV anime airing this fall, toys, digital kids card game. It will also expand to related products, games, and magazines.
For the anime, a smartphone app will be used. The apps will feature AI life forms called “Appli Monsters ” that will also be refered to as “Appmons.”
More information will be given at the Tokyo Toy Show on June 9.
