Codemasters and Motorsport Network have announced they are entering the world of eSports with the creation of the DiRT World Championships.
The DiRT World Championships will start on February 19 and will continue all the way until May 26 where the championship will take place at the Speedmachine festival. The finale will also be streamed live via Motorsport.tv.
Codemasters’ eSports Manager Andy Gray said in the Press Release..
“We are delighted to announce the DiRT World Championships. DiRT 4 has a vibrant and highly engaged community and we will be showcasing their incredible skill and dedication throughout the tournament. Having the final at Speedmachine, in front of a live audience of motorsport fans, will put the world’s best players in the spotlight on a global stage. We cannot wait to see how our champion performs in a real RX2 car, on track in front of a huge crowd at Silverstone.
