Square-Enix officially announced today that Dragon Quest XI is in development. This comes after reports that teased that the game would be announced last week by several media outlets in Japan.
Not only will it be using Unreal Engine 4 and be released on Playstation 4 and Nintendo 3DS, but it was also announced that both Dragon Quest XI and Dragon Quest X would be in development for Nintendo NX. This means that these 2 games are the first games to officially announced to be in development for Nintendo’s new system.
Square-Enix later came out and said that the Nintendo NX releases are “under consideration” but doesn’t have further information to share at the moment.” Could this be an accidental leak? Only time will tell.
