EA Fails To Disclose Ultimate Team Revenue Numbers To The SEC

Electronic Arts have released their latest earning numbers with the US Securities and Exchange Commission with one major thing being omitted.

This has led to speculation on what their reasoning was for this omission as Ultimate Team has been a major revenue for the company across multiple titles. Stephen Totilo of Axios was quick to note that the company took in $1.6 billion in revenue from Ultimate Team last year.

Some speculation is that they saw a decline in overall revenue. Others have noted that Ultimate Team and lootboxes in general have been the subject of numerous lawsuits for the past few years. In October 2020, EA was fined €10 million ($12.2 million) by a Netherlands District Court after being found to have violated gambling laws.
