Huge news in the gaming world as Electronic Arts have purchased Titanfall developers Respawn Entertainment for $455 million. This includes cash, equity, and performance milestone payments.
According to sources for Kotaku, South Korean publisher Nexon also made a bid to purchase the company, but EA decided to outbid them. The same sources also note that the studio will receive bonuses tied to Metacritic scores for both the upcoming Star Wars game, and the unannounced Titanfall 3.
