Big news for fans on EnVision eSports has the organization have announced they have disbanded their Overwatch roster.
Owner Artur Minacov said in a TwitLonger post:
I am writing this tweet with a lot of sadness and frustration.
As of today, I am officially announcing the release of our Overwatch roster. Through the past year and a half, I have been investing a lot of funds into creating a Tier 1 Overwatch team. Before Overwatch League, it seemed possible, but today, it is a whole other story.
I will no go into details on why I took this decision, but one thing is sure, I am more than frustrated on how teams like EnVision, not associated to any Overwatch League Academy teams have been treated. After injecting so much into helping build the Overwatch scene, it sucks to realize that I had no support whatsoever, and my contribution did not matter.
I would like to thank all the players, coaches and managers who took part of this journey with me. I wish our current roster best of luck in the future, I truly hope that you all get into the Overwatch League.

EnVision eSports had a good year making it all the way to the semifinals of Overwatch Contenders Season 1 before losing 3-1 to Toronto Esports. The organization then went on to place third in the BEAT Invitational.
