Thanks to a order released yesterday by U.S. District Court Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, the bench trial for the ongoing Epic Games vs Apple antitrust lawsuit will begin on May 3, 2021.
This lawsuit centers around Epic Games and Apple in relation to the Apple App Store with the focus being on Apple’s built-in payment system which takes a 30% royalty on all transactions through the App Store from app developers. Epic Games is saying that Apple are violating antitrust laws and are running a monopoly.
