Fans of the Fallout series who didn’t pre-order their Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition the second it was available may be out of luck. As soon as Bethesda announced the collector’s edition last week at their E3 press conference it began selling like hotcakes (despite the $120 price tag), and it seems that it is now “sold out” at nearly every major video game retailer worldwide. While there is no official word on how many Pip-Boys will be produced for the game’s November release, it sounds like many of us may not get our hands on the coveted gadget unless Bethesda decides to up the production numbers.
For those who missed the news, the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition includes an actual, wearable Pip-Boy that allows you to dock your phone in it for a second screen experience using the companion app Bethesda is developing. To put in the words of Bethesda’s Tom Howard: “The pip-boy is [such an] important part of Fallout, and we love it so much, that we made a real one.”
The long-awaited next installment in the Fallout series, Fallout 4 will be releasing on November 10, 2015 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
