As confirmed by Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, Raven Software have voted 19-3 to be recognized as a union under the name Game Workers Alliance. This makes them the first major video game union within the United States.
Despite major push back from parent company Activision, the quality assurance department of Raven Software voted to unionize back in January after 30% of their department was laid off. This came after Warzone, the division many of QA worked on, was generating around $5.2 million per day. Just days later, they filed for union election with the NLRB after Activision failed to recognized them as a union.
