Footage Of Cancelled Submarines Arcade Game Surfaces

Some great news for archival purposes as ohfivepro has uploaded footage of an unreleased arcade game that was being developed by Namco titled Submarines. This footage was taken at the 1999 Amusement Machine Operators’ Union trade show and broadcasted on Hong Kong TV.

Submarines would have been a sequel to the Submarine arcade game which originally released in 1979. This version was distributed by Namco within Japan and by Midway in the United States.

It’s still unknown what led to the cancellation of Submarines. You can view the footage down below:
