Former Mixer Employee Accuses Company Management To Be Racist

In a TwitLonger titled Mixer: The Black Experience, former business developer for Mixer and Micrososoft, Milan Lee stats that during his time with Mixer he was witness to several accounts of racism from his manager.

Lee claims that shortly after he was hired, someone pulled him to the side and told him that he was because he was “street smart” which is considered code for having to meet a diversity goal in the work place. Lee also went on to say that during an internal meeting, his manager used an analogy that said this:

“I’m in between a rock and a hard place. What I mean is all the partners are my slaves, I own their content. I control their success on our platform. For me I am the slave master, I own partners”.

An investigation was opened by human resources after Lee filed a complaint and wasn’t notified of a verdict for several months until the day after he left the company. HR said they found her not guilty cited that she could not be racist solely because she hired a person of color.

Since coming out with the TwitLonger, Mixer has been trending across social media with several users and streamers on the platform saying they will boycott it as long as this person still has a position with the company.
