In a now deleted thread off the GameStop subreddit, GameStop have started to sell their own GameStop branded clothing. This include track pants, button downs, and regular t-shirts. Some seem this could be a small rollout at select locations, however you can purchase them online via GameStop Canada’s official website where the clothing was set to launch on October 20 and being made by NTD Apparel.
Needless to say some employees seem to be confused as to what the company want them to do with them. One associate stated:
“My store got them and I still can’t figure out what we’re supposed to do with them. In our planograms, they’re supposed to go on one of the front tables for display, but it’s not for every store.”
Some have speculated this is just a way for the company to profit off the nearly year-old Reddit vs Hedgefund war that primarily involved stocks in both GameStop and AMC.
