Genyo Takeda Retiring From Nintendo

Nintendo have announced that longtime Representative Director and Technology Fellow Genyo Takeda will be retiring from the company in June. Takeda has been with the company since 1971.

Takeda is most known for creating the analog stick on the Nintendo 64 and was the Lead Designer of the Wii, which went on to sell over 100 million units. He also worked as a Producer for Pilotwings 64, Super Punch-Out!!, StarTropics II, Punch-Out!, and Dr. Mario 64.
