According to a new report by Sensor Tower, global mobile gaming revenue dropped 6% compared to last year.
The United States and Japan, currently the top 2 slots for highest revenue, both took massive hits with revenue dropping in the United States by 10% to just under $6 billion while Japan dropping 18% generating $4.2 billion. Countries like Taiwan saw a 2% increase compared to last year while South Korea saw a 3% increase.
Sensor Tower noted that the main belief as to why the United States took such a hit is due to inflation and the overall cost of living within the country.
