Hero Pools Not Coming To Overwatch Contenders, Causing Problems For Scrims?

While the Overwatch League announced this morning that Hero Pools will be returning for the June Joust, it seems that the tier 2 scene will not have that issue.

According to American Tornado DPS Cameron wub Johnson, hero pools being implemented has caused a problem for Contenders teams who often scrim against teams within the Overwatch League. Wub said in a recent live stream:

“We just lost like 80% of our scrims cause of that shit cause for some reason it’s not implemented in tier 2. So they’ll have hero bans for OWL, but not tier 2. Now we can’t scrim against OWL teams anymore. And if we are than we’re not getting any practice.”

Fans of the game has speculated that the reason for the return of Hero Pools is due to no addition content coming soon to the game.
