Micro-transactions are one of the most controversial things in modern day video games and with some full-price console games receiving them such as NFL 2K17 and Metal Gear Soliid V: The Phantom Pain, many are worried that more games will follow suit. Thankfully if you plan on purchasing Horizon Zero Dawn you will not be receiving them.
Guarrilla Games, the developers of the game, have confirmed via Twitter that the game will not having any micro transactions of any kind.
There will be no micro transactions in #HorizonZeroDawn

Horizon Zero Dawn will release on February 28 exclusively on Playstation 4.
