As confirmed by IGN, Sega veteran Rieko Kodama passed away this past May. This was first noticed by fans as a memorial message in the staff credits was found in the Sega Genesis Mini 2.
Kodama had been with Sega since 1984 where she worked on Master System and Arcade titles such as Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Champion Boxing, and Phantasy Star. Since 1998, Kodama has worked as a producer on several popular titles such as the 7th Dragon franchise, Skies of Arcadia, and the Sega Ages series.
