A little over a week ago we reported that GameStop started charging those who pre- ordered the Intellivision Amico through the retailer despite the consoles not being in their warehouses or even close to launch. Since then GameStop have since sent out messages to those same customers noting that the console have now received new SKUs and will also have a price increase.
While those who pre-ordered the console will not be losing their spot in line, they might have to pay more if they are wanting an extra controller. The console with 1 controller will retail for $289.99 while the same with two controllers will set now set you back $339.99.
Those who decide to pre-order the console now will not require a deposit until “we finalize and announce a manufacturing date.” GameStop also noted that if GameStop cancelled your pre-order without your permission, they will only charge $299.99 for the console with two controllers in either Vintage Wood Grain or Galaxy Purple. The Black and White color scheme are not longer available to new orders
