It’s always fascinating to learn details about beta versions of games and NES games are no exception. One game recently popped up on eBay called John Smith Special Agent and the backstory is very interesting to retro gaming fans.
John Smith Special Edition was a 2D action platformer developed by Eurocom’s Chris Shrigley. After completion, Chris could not find a buyer, but was eventually bought by THQ who overhauled the entire game and turned it into the game James Bond Jr.
What’s even more fascinating is that this game has never been released and has not been dumped online. The current bid is at $481.
