Lawsuit Involving Activision And Booker T Going To Trial

Thanks to Brandon Ewing at Ewrestlingnews we have learned that a lawsuit involving Activision Blizzard and former pro wrestler and WWE Hall of Famer Booker “Booker T” Hoffman will be heading to trial on April 19.

The lawsuit alleges that Activision ripped off Booker T’s “G.I. Bro” persona for their character David “Prophet” Wilkes in Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII.

Booker T states there were two versions of his “G.I. Bro” comic book released in 2015 and that likeness was directly used in the video game.

Interestingly, Booker T had a gimmick during his time as a wrestler which he used the name G.I. Bro when he was starting out in Ivan Putski’s Western Wrestling Alliance Live! program and later in the year 2000 as a member of the Misfits in Action when he wrestled for WCW.
